# OPEX 2.0 Alpha Release

We're excited to announce the OPEX version 2.0 alpha release!

We've focused our efforts on integrating all the fresh Peatio and Barong v2 changes and ultimately allowing to use the API gateway solution.

Starting from this release, the only domain name exposed by the deployment is the API gateway one. You can configure the root hostname in the front.host field of vars.kite-opex.yml.

We've made numerous changes to deployment and configuration files, introduced Ambassador to the stack and integrated it with all the other components.

Please note that this is an alpha release aimed to allow you to try out and adopt the new API Gateway system before the stable 2.0 release.

The upcoming OPEX 2.0 release will bring extended documentation, stability improvements and various enhancements.
