Ren (REN) is best defined as an open protocol that allows access to inter-blockchain liquidity for different Decentralized Applications (dApps).
Founded by Loong Wang in late 2017, the Ren (REN) protocol enables private and permissionless transfer among all blockchain apps, thereby ensuring interoperability in the DeFi (decentralized finance) space. The protocol's decentralized nodes are known as RenVM, and they secure the tokenization of assets irrespective of the blockchains they belong to. The users can tokenize their assets as well as redeem the tokens without interference from any intermediaries.
